Gentilini wines
The Gentilini vineyards are located around the winery, near the village of Minies.
Gentilini began in 1978 with only half a hectare. Now More than 10 hectares are cultivated with grape varieties such as Sauvignon Blanc, Moschofilero, Syrah, Muscat and Mavrodaphne, Robola and Taoussi. All the vineyards are cultivated organically.
Robola grows in very small, low-yielding vineyards in the high plateau of the Valsamata Valley on the slopes of Mount Ainos. The soil is limestone and the altitude ensures colder winters, so the buds hatch much later than in the plains. This terroir gives the wines delicate aromas of citrus fruits and minerals, balanced acidity and a medium body with a long aftertaste.
The vinification and bottling are done in the cellar respecting the environment. In 2011 the winery received ISO 14001 certification for its environmental management system.
The cellar offers tours of the cellars and vineyards.
The tastings include a small plate with our olive oil, local cheese and fresh bread.
